Our kids tell the story of why preschool is a must

The column I read is over the conflict of providing preschool for children.  Ramsey went to see a 5 year old preschooler who thinks that preschool is very important.

The most important line in this article is the last sentence that really makes you think about providing preschool to all children: "It's hard to do less when we've seen its miracles walk – even skip – through our door." Ramsey uses dashes to emphasize the words, even skip, to make the reader pause on those two words in the sentence. 

Ramsey really digs deep and makes each one of her articles as connective as possible.  Here is an example of how Ramsey makes this article connective to the reader: "If preschool was optional for your kids, then maybe it's optional for them. But if it was essential for your kids – if you watched it transform their lives and wouldn't have done without it – how can it be denied to children with so few resources, children who need it so desperately?"  This quote puts parents on the spot about their kids and preschool.

If I were to interview Ramsey, I would ask her these questions:
1. What is the most exciting article you have written and why?
2. What was the little girl like that you talked to?
3. Why did you become a columnist?
